Angelina and Nathan

“…You’re My KALEIDOSCOPE”

Angelina and Nathan were like meeting a fresh breath of spring air. They are a couple that truly is as amazing in real life as they sound on paper. They are sweet, funny, and they are both sincerely kind people. We had the honor of working with these two for well over a year, being part of their wedding planning every step of the way starting with their engagement shoot. This shoot was as fun-filled as it could possibly be. It also gave us a chance to get to know them a little bit as a couple before we went on to photograph their wedding.

Their big day was the quintessential definition of a rustic wedding, but getting married in a barn will do that. This barn however, was not just any old hay barn. It is a gorgeous, renovated barn that sits just on the outskirts of Ithaca, NY. The Barn, boasts a beautiful interior, as well as seating on two levels, a beautiful outdoor deck, and the words truly do not do this location justice. From beautifully finished wooden floors, to doors that open to a beautiful ceremony location, this venue truly has everything you could ever desire for a “barn wedding”, including the twinkle-lights and wagon wheels.

From the very beginning, I knew that working with this couple would be an amazing experience and it truly was. From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the reception, the amount of love that these two feel for each other was palpable. Nathan and Angelina chose an outdoor ceremony, and were wed under a beautiful arch. With their I-do’s came happy sounds of laughter and cheers from the crowd.

I would be hard pressed to tell you my favorite moment of the night, between Nathan serenading his love with his A Capella group as backup and in true flash mob style, said A Capella group breaking out into full song during the best man’s speech. But I can easily tell you my favorite thing about weddings and that, without a doubt, is being able to give our couples memories that are going to last for generations. The absolute best part of my job is being able to give these couples something that not only will stand the test of time, but something that they and their family and friends will be able to look at and be taken right to the moment in time that it was happening.
